Frequently asked questions
Who is Uncle ESG for?+
Any small or medium business that needs to report Scope 1 & 2 emissions — to a client, a certification scheme, or its own management. Our first customers are construction subcontractors reporting to their main contractors, but the calculation works the same way for any SME with vehicles and an electricity bill.
What's the difference between Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions?+
Scope 1 covers emissions your business creates directly — mainly fuel burned in your own vehicles and equipment. Scope 2 covers emissions from the electricity you purchase and use. A GHG Protocol-aligned report covers both.
How long does it take to get my report?+
Turnaround depends on the tier you choose: Standard is 5 business days, Priority is 48 hours, firm, and Multi-Site is 7–14 days depending on how many sites you cover. Turnaround is counted from a complete submission — once we have everything we need, your full details and bills — not from the moment you pay.
What if my fuel and electricity bills aren't all in one place?+
That's fine — upload whatever you have as separate files. We accept PDF, JPG, or PNG, up to 10MB each, for both your fuel bills and your electricity bills, and you can attach more than one of each.
What do I actually get?+
